RWM now under new Ownership!

Prysm Group has announced the acquisition of waste management trade show RWM from Ascential to boost its environmental division.

RWM, in partnership with recycling, energy, water and waste management show CIWM, will complement existing Prysm events including The European Contamination Expo Series, Hazardous Waste Expo, Land Remediation Expo, The Flood Expo and The Marine & Coastal Civil Engineering Expo.

Commenting on the acquisition of RWM, event director Nick Woore, said: “RWM is undoubtedly the leading exhibition in the global resource management sector, so to be able to add the show to our already incredible portfolio is extremely exciting.

“Running this event is an honour we are not taking lightly, and we will ensure that this exhibition leads the way for the industry tasked with delivering a sustainable future for our country.

RWM takes place annually each September at the NEC and attracts over 500 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors from the UK and Switzerland.

“This is an exciting development for RWM and CIWM looks forward to working in partnership with Prysm to ensure that the show goes from strength to strength as the premiere showcase for the resources and waste management sector,” said CIWM chief executive Dr Colin Church. “We welcome Prysm’s decision to invest in expanding its environmental business and there are clear synergies with other events in the Prysm stable that will further broaden RWM’s reach and relevance.”

Commercial terms of the deal have not been revealed.
